Burgers & Beers Inc has risen from the rubble!
We have checked to see if you’re ok.
We have checked to see if we’re ok.
We have dusted ourselves off, & evaluated. – What a bloody mess!
Our buildings down but not out, ground floor stood firm, however upstairs not so much!
Our neighbours decided to drop in & crash our party & who can blame them, our parties always have the best food!
But on the eve of our first birthday our resolve remains as solid as our ground floor & with no pun intended “We are Rock & Rolla’s” we look forward to the weekends & never look back at the week.
So it will come as no surprise to those who know us that we are determined more than ever to continue on our mission.
As we respectfully nod towards Mother Nature & acknowledge her display of devastating power, we now plan our next year with tempered enthusiasm.
Yes our sleeves are rolled up even higher than before & our pants are pulled up tight to remind us that we have not lost everything, & it could have been a lot worse.
We are gathering our composure, our troops & our tools ready to embark on the next phase of the “Burger Revolution”
We are shaken, but not stirred! And have come to realising that Christchurch needs our positive enthusiasm as much as we need Christchurch.
A heavy sense of community spirit has arrived to replace the uncertainty & this is how we, the guardians of Burgers & Beers Inc happened across a neighbour who can help us while we wait for our High Street Base to be revived.
In our part of town hospitality is spread as thick as our gravy & in the true sense of the word we believe “good people should hang out with good people”
So that’s what we’re going to do!
